OUR WORK IN NORTH ISRAEL

Jewish Life & Learning (North America & Israel)

“Education must not simply teach work — it must teach life.” — Rabbi Samson Raphael Hirsch

“Education is the cornerstone of a nation’s survival.” – Henrietta Szold

We cultivate vibrant Jewish life and learning across the spectrum of the North American Jewish community and in Israel. Our investments seek to ensure diverse and accessible modalities for Jewish education and engagement while nurturing lifelong Jewish growth, active participation in civic life, and deep connections with global Jewry and Israel. We engage with lay people and lay leaders, Jewish educators, rabbis and other communal leaders, and within established and emerging Jewish communal institutions, all of which are key levers for building thick and meaningful Jewish life.

In Israel, we invest in Jewish identity programs that welcome “secular” Israelis into meaningful engagement with their heritage. Our support enables accessible, inclusive Jewish learning experiences across schools, cultural sites, and public forums—inviting participants to explore, connect, and deepen their Jewish identity on their own terms.
