“A story is what binds the past to the present, and the present to a future still being imagined.”
— Avivah Zornberg

“We are not just the people of the book. We are the people of the story within the book.” — Cynthia Ozick
“In Jewish tradition, we don’t escape the world through stories—we repair it.” — Judith Plaskow
“The world is not made of atoms. It is made of stories.”— A quote often attributed to Rabbi Nachman of Breslov (also paraphrased by Muriel Rukeyser)

Media shapes how we see the world and ourselves. We invest in content that brings substantive and compelling Jewish stories, ideas, and perspectives to mainstream and targeted audiences, deepening our collective understanding of Judaism, Jewish history, the Jewish people, and Israel.

Our work in this space includes grants and investments in high-caliber fiction and non-fiction film, television series, and digital media formats; independent journalism that covers Jewish concerns responsibly and accurately; and initiatives that strengthen the Jewish media ecosystem.
